HISTORY
In 1963
Emilia and Umberto SIMEONI took over the Pellet business. It was not strictly speaking a store but a small area without a roof, shelter or heating, rented from the city of Geneva.
It was the annex entrance to the main entrance where our stores are currently located. It no longer exists.
Umberto gets his horticultural diploma by taking evening classes and with the help of Emilia to make him revise after lunch. The days are long and hard but with hard work and perseverance, the results come and allow the small business to grow quietly.
In 1978,
the flower shop “Laure-Fleurs” was created in the centre of the village of Petit-Lancy with Laura, the daughter, a qualified florist with a federal certificate who took over the business in her name in 1982 and which is still active today.
In 1982
, a proposal from a close competitor allowed the company to take over a second store and establishment.
Marino, the son, joined his parents to help them while continuing to obtain his horticultural and florist diplomas. He was elected best apprentice in Geneva in 1980 with the State Council prize.
In 1985,
computers arrived in our offices…
In 1991
Marino was assisted by Florence (his future wife) who took charge of the new graphics and logos of Simeoni-Fleurs and the decoration and layout of the store.
